The Stranger Things Season 5 Premiere lit up London with a packed red carpet, a huge fan presence and a wave of excitement for the show’s highly anticipated final chapter. Media Dog Hire was proud to supply key camera equipment for the event, ensuring every moment of the stars arrivals were captured with precision and cinematic flair.

To film the cast stepping onto the red carpet, our good friend Mat Beckett, shooting DOP for River Rea Films, and the Production team used a DJI Ronin 4D hired from us — the perfect tool for smooth, dynamic, stabilised footage in a fast-moving environment. The Ronin 4D’s 4-axis stabilisation, built-in wireless transmission and exceptional image quality made it ideal for tracking the stars as they greeted fans and press.

Alongside the roaming camera unit, a series of set-up cameras, with Canon CN20, CN10 and CN7 Lenses were positioned around the premiere to capture live coverage. These feeds were streamed directly back to Netflix HQ in the USA, giving executives and teams across the Atlantic real-time access to the action as it unfolded in London.
