Media Dog are proud to be housing the new TLS Prometheus lens for our clients to test and try.
This brand new lens, built from scratch by True Lens Services has some incredible characteristics that we really haven’t seen with any other lenses. We look forward to getting more hands on with it and providing some test footage shortly. With only 5 currently in existance, we are very grateful for TLS to be one of the first to try this absolutely stunning, unique lens.
55mm, T1.5 (PL Mount)
TLS were set a challenge, and this lens was the result. From TLS’s case study:
“We recently connected with cinematographer Egor Povolotskiy, who came to us with an exciting challenge: to rehouse a rare and characterful 1970s lens for a bold creative project. Recognising the extraordinary nature of the glass—and just how few of these lenses still survive in usable condition—we embraced the collaboration as both a creative opportunity and a mission to preserve a remarkable piece of optical history.”
More information and in-depth analysis of the lens and it’s manufacture process can be found on TLS’s Case Study, here.
