The DJI RS 5 (RS5, RS-5) is DJI’s latest flagship handheld gimbal stabiliser (released January 2026), offering significant advancements over the popular RS-3 and RS-4 models to meet the needs of modern professional shooters. With improved motor performance, smarter balancing, extended battery life, and broader camera compatibility, along with it’s fantastic new object tracking module now provided as standard, replacing the previous Raveneye system with the previous models.
It remains compact and lightweight while delivering robust performance for mirrorless and cinema-style camera setups, it also fully supports vertical shooting without any additional hardware. Enhanced automated axis locks and improved quick-release plates further reduce downtime during repetitive setups.
