Cartoni Master 65 Heavy Duty Tripod

The Cartoni Master 65 is a heavy-duty fluid head with a payload capacity of up to 65kg, supplied with Cartoni Moy legs and a mid spreader. It’s designed for larger camera builds and long lenses such as the Canon CN20, offering a solid platform without the size and complexity of an O’Connor 2560 or 2575 system.

The Master 65 sits in a useful position between conventional 150mm bowl tripods, such as the Sachtler Video 25P, and the larger O’Connor heavy-duty systems. It has the capacity to support substantial camera rigs, but is less cumbersome and generally easier to operate, particularly when working as a single operator. This makes it a practical choice for wildlife, sports, outside broadcast and long-lens work where a stable platform and controlled movement are essential.

The supplied Cartoni legs are a single-stage design with a mid spreader. They don’t extend as high as Ronford-Baker Tall Tripod legs, but offer enough height for the majority of setups.

For productions that need a different working height, the legs can be upgraded to Ronford-Baker Tall or Short Legs. This gives you the option of retaining the Master 65 head while adapting the support system to suit the production. As it is a Moy fitting head it can also easily attach to other Moy systems such as PeeWee Dollies or Moy Hi Hats.

The Cartoni Master 65 is a good option when a standard 150mm head isn’t enough for the rig, but a full-size O’Connor 2560 or 2575 setup would be more tripod than you really need.
